New York employers: A reminder that effective today (February 15, 2024), the statute of limitations for current or former employees to file administrative complaints with the NYS Division of Human Rights under the NYS Human Rights will extend to 3 years for all claims.
Before the law was amended, the NYS Human Rights Law contained a one-year statute of limitations for all administrative claims of discrimination other than sexual harassment (which was already 3 years).
