NYS Employers: As you know, employees who work in New York State and need time off for baby bonding or to provide care for a family member may be eligible for New York Paid Family Leave insurance benefits (NY PFL).
NY PFL provides weekly benefits for up to 12 weeks to employees who take leave for covered reasons and are calculated based on 67% of an eligible employee’s average weekly wage up to a cap of 67% of New York State’s Average Weekly Wage.
In January 2024, the NY PFL benefits cap will increase to $1,151.16 per week, up to a maximum total benefit of $13,813.92.
